.I like the way you have brought in more than one "temperature sensation" here:"early morning" and "the heat of potting soil"This is also a very tactile haiku:"straight through my gloves"And the overall haiku also give us a sense of smell of that season.A deceptively simple looking haiku but with lots packed in, but in such a way that the reader has plenty of room to move about in.This is definitely a haiku to be earmarked for a collection.
